As part of the local community, Cornwall Gold is proud to support Cornwall Air Ambulance, which saves countless lives every year throughout Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
Set up in 1987 as the first air ambulance service in the UK, its story is now entwined with the lives of the more than half a million people who call Cornwall their home.
Lives such as Dylan – a little boy who was left in a critical condition when a vehicle containing two horses ran over his neck and chest. Or Trisha, who broke her back riding along Carbis Bay beach in St Ives. Cornwall Air Ambulance was able to rescue both Dylan and Trisha and flies more than 700 similar missions every year to provide emergency medical treatment to people young and old.
Cornwall Air Ambulance is funded entirely by voluntary donations, which is why we are proud to donate £5 from the sale of each of our iconic Flip Flops.
