We love Edison Pearls.  They’re a special form of Freshwater pearl and they tend to be nice and big – 9mm plus – and often exhibit an amazing ‘orient’, which looks like a rainbow of light shimmering across the surface of the pearl.  Edisons are Freshwater pearls that have been nucleated in a similar method as a Saltwater pearl, they’re harder to come by but they’re worth looking for because they’re so beautiful.
