Book the Bike Track

Directly opposite us is The Track which is pure heaven for those who like to ride, scoot and jump! Pre-book your session and head to us before or after for delicious homemade food and some free kids activities. Or, keep cosy in our Pantry (free wifi and dog friendly!) while you wait for older kids to finish their session.

Get Some Sea Air

There are numerous walks located all around us but if you want a mix of beach and countryside you can enjoy the famous South West Coast Path which travels through nearby Portreath Beach. As you walk higher up there are some amazing views from the top of the headlands.

Discover Ancient Ruins

Aspiring historians will love heading over to Wheal Peevor which is a few minute’s drive from us towards Redruth. Here you can explore the three small engine house ruins and shafts used to mine copper and tin during the 18th century.

Free Panning for Gold!

Perfect come rain or shine, our panning for gold station is great for explorers of all ages who want to sift through the sand to discover the hidden gems within!

Step Back in Time

Imagine what life would have been like working in a tin mill in the heart of Cornwall and discover the process of tin streaming in the Tolgus Tin Mill, the last remaining working tin mill in Cornwall!

Did you know? For generations, Tolgus tin was exported all over the world and now finds its way into our Tolgus jewellery collections which then supports the regeneration of the mill from the jewellery sales!

Bad Weather? Try Pottery Painting

Pottery painting is fun for all the family, young and old alike. The potters will glaze and fire your masterpiece for you, or you can take it home the same day. Open 10-4pm, with the last sitting for pottery at 2.45pm. Call 01209 901675 for prices & information.

A Treat for Teens – and Adults!

Where else in Cornwall can you personally pick your own pearl from an oyster? In our Pick-a-Pearl experience, you can handpick an oyster from our oyster pool and discover the gem inside. Watch as we grade your pearl, after which you can choose a setting to create a piece of jewellery made right in front of your eyes!

Book pick-a-pearl here.

PLUS! Enjoy our free exhibition, have fun in our dress-up station, walk the Tolgus Trail and more! Discover everything we have to offer this Easter holidays at Cornwall Gold here.
